Two French bar managers were questioned in connection with a fire investigation, stated Beatrice Pilloud, the attorney general of Valais Canton. It was confirmed that a sparkler ignited the fire at Le Constellation bar in Crans-Montana, causing a rapid spread due to the proximity of champagne bottles adorned with sparklers to the ceiling.
The incident occurred during New Year celebrations, with the bar primarily frequented by young party attendees. Reports of chaos and frantic evacuation efforts have surfaced following the blaze, believed to have been triggered by the sparklers. Concerned individuals have turned to social media platforms to locate missing persons.
