“Scott Mills’ Masked Singer Revelation Leaves Dad in Stitches”

Share

Scott Mills recently shared a comical anecdote about his father’s reaction upon discovering his appearance on The Masked Singer Christmas special. The popular Radio 2 DJ revealed himself as the Figgy Pudding during the special episode aired on Boxing Day, securing the runner-up position to Mistletoe, who turned out to be TV icon Dermot O’Leary.

In a video posted on Instagram, Scott captured the moment when his dad Pete and partner Suzi were watching the ITV show. His dad, unaware of Scott’s identity in the disguise, was heard commenting, “That one’s awful,” while Suzi defended Scott’s singing ability, suggesting the masked man could be West End star and singer Michael Ball.

Despite some doubts raised during the show, Suzi remained convinced that it was Michael Ball behind the mask. However, the revelation that Figgy Pudding was actually Scott himself left both Suzi and Pete in fits of laughter, with Suzi exclaiming, “Bloody hell, Scott!” Pete, looking slightly embarrassed, raised his hand in support of his son, expressing his disbelief.

Scott’s appearance on The Masked Singer marked a successful year for the 51-year-old DJ, who took over the Radio 2 breakfast show from Zoe Ball in January. Prior to this role, Scott hosted the Scott Mills show on BBC Radio 1 before transitioning to Radio 2 in 2022. Reflecting on his career journey, Scott expressed gratitude for landing his dream job and the opportunity to reconnect with old colleagues, likening the experience to a nostalgic return to his past.

Content with his current life stage, Scott emphasized his love for his job, family, and overall contentment. The unexpected turn of events in his career has brought him immense joy and fulfillment, highlighting a period of personal and professional satisfaction.
