Shockingly, the victim was carried on top of a car for over a mile after being struck. Following the collision, two men, aged 29 and 28, were apprehended by Kent police and are currently under custody.

The dreadful crash occurred near the junction of Gads Hill and Waterside Lane on a Monday afternoon. The elderly man was eventually found on the ground at Grange Road, while a gray Mercedes, abandoned nearby, had its occupants fleeing on foot. Authorities have released CCTV footage of another individual they wish to interview to aid in the investigation.

Reports from KentOnline revealed that the victim was discovered more than a mile away from the crash site, having been transported atop a vehicle. A postman stumbled upon the man, having earlier noticed a car with an object on its roof, according to a local resident.

The postman, upon spotting something unusual on Grange Road, conducted a closer inspection to find the man. The resident described the scene as devastating, emphasizing the distress of seeing the victim lying there. The isolated nature of the lane was highlighted, with the resident expressing shock at the unprecedented scale of the events.
