Six firefighters were hospitalized following a collision involving two fire engines in central London. The incident on Farringdon Road resulted in injuries such as broken bones, chest, and head injuries. A fire engine from Lambeth and a turntable ladder appliance from Soho, both operated by the London Fire Brigade, collided while responding to an incident in Islington. The collision led to a blockage at the junction, with emergency crews assisting the injured firefighters.
All the injured firefighters are currently receiving medical treatment, and the severely damaged fire appliances have been removed from the scene.
