SeatGeek Canada has been hit with two additional fines by the Ontario government for allegedly violating a recent law that limits the resale of event tickets at their original face value. According to the province’s consumer protection website, the latest fines imposed on the ticket resale platform this month amount to a total of $22,500.

The first fine, totaling $15,000, was issued for allegedly listing a ticket for sale or facilitating its sale above the authorized resale price. The second fine, amounting to $7,500, was imposed for allegedly failing to disclose the full ticket price when a ticket was purchased from an original seller.

Both SeatGeek Canada and the province have not provided immediate responses regarding the specific events that led to the fines or whether the company intends to contest the penalties. Previously, in August, the province had fined the company $25,000 for similar violations.
