A 20-year-old man from Cambridge, Ontario, faces charges related to a probe into the trafficking of cocaine from Canada to Hong Kong. Law enforcement has accused him of exporting a Schedule 1 substance and conspiring to commit a serious offense. The individual attended a bail hearing at a Kitchener court last Friday.
The investigation, led by the Waterloo Regional Police Service, commenced in September 2025 following the arrest of a 20-year-old woman from Cambridge at Hong Kong International Airport. Authorities discovered 25 kilograms of suspected cocaine in her luggage. Recently, in collaboration with various law enforcement agencies, local police apprehended a man from Markham, Ontario, believed to be linked to the illicit drug network. This network allegedly facilitated the woman’s journey from Toronto to Hong Kong.
The investigation remains ongoing.
