“Ex-Big Brother Contestant Released Early for Holidays”

A former Big Brother contestant, who served time in prison for involvement in a petrol bomb attack, has been released early just in time for the holiday season. Simone Reed, known for her appearance on Big Brother and attempt at success on The X Factor, was sentenced to 32 months in jail earlier this year after an incident at a bar in Teeside.

Reed, along with Carl Wild, drove to a garage after a dispute at Peggy Junes pub in Redcar, where Wild threw a Molotov cocktail at a patron, causing severe injuries. Reed tearfully admitted her role in the offense in court and was sentenced to two years and four months in prison. However, reports now indicate that she was released after serving only a fraction of her sentence and was seen shopping for Christmas gifts.

The mother of five posted on social media expressing her excitement about being home for the holidays and mentioned plans for the upcoming year. Her family members also shared messages of support and anticipation for her release. Despite her remorse and the acknowledgment of her involvement in the crime, Reed’s early release has raised questions about the justice system.

The sentencing judge highlighted Reed’s participation in obtaining materials for the petrol bomb and her threats towards the bar owner. While acknowledging her regret, the judge emphasized the severity of her actions that led to the violent incident. Reed’s early release has sparked discussions about the legal system and the consequences of such criminal behavior.
