Apple has unveiled new MacBook and iPad models following the recent release of the iPhone 17. The tech giant introduced the MacBook Pro M5 and iPad Pro M5 on October 22, both featuring the latest M5 chip for enhanced speed and performance, including significant improvements in AI capabilities. These devices are now available for purchase directly from Apple and Amazon.

The MacBook Pro M5 512GB starts at £1,599, while the 11” iPad Pro 256GB and 13” iPad Pro 256GB are priced at £999 and £1,299 respectively. Apple’s Pro lineup showcases some of its top-tier products, prompting many consumers to consider monthly payment options offered by providers like Sky Mobile and O2 to manage the costs, with rates starting at 90p per day.

Sky’s prices for the iPad Pro M5 models range from £27 to £34 per month, equating to 90p per day, but only include a limited 100MB data allowance. For the MacBook Pro M5 plan at £35 per month with a £7 upfront cost, users looking to primarily use WiFi may find this option appealing, although those needing mobile connectivity may opt for a Sky eSIM.

EE offers competitive pricing for the iPad Pro M5 models, with the 11” version available for £89.92 on a 12-month plan, plus a £120 upfront fee, similar to the upfront purchase cost. Customers have flexibility in payment durations, ranging from three to 48 months. The 13” iPad Pro M5 is priced at £112.42 plus £120 upfront on the 12-month plan. EE’s 24-month contracts, inclusive of mobile data, start at £67.50 and go up to £83.70 for the Unlimited All Rounder plan, which also includes additional perks like Apple Music, Apple TV, or Netflix Standard.

O2 offers various plans for both iPad Pro M5 models, starting from £39.20 per month with a £20 upfront cost for the 11” version on a 1GB Classic Plan. Users with higher data needs can select the 100GB Plus Plan for £51.20 per month. The 13” iPad Pro M5 is priced at £45.60 per month with a £20 upfront cost for the 1GB Classic Plan, while the 100GB Plus Plan is available at £57.60 per month. O2 Extras such as Disney+ or Amazon Prime are complimentary for up to six months.

Customers signing up for 48-month contracts with these providers receive a combined airtime and device plan, with the option to separate them after 24 months. This flexibility allows customers to make changes based on their usage needs, potentially reducing costs for those who do not require mobile data for the entire contract duration.
