“Rod Stewart’s Unconventional Christmas Preferences Revealed”

Penny Lancaster has playfully criticized her spouse, the renowned singer Rod Stewart, for his unconventional Christmas preferences, revealing that he abstains from partaking in her cherished holiday tradition. Each Christmas morning, the former model indulges in a luxurious breakfast accompanied by a glass of champagne, a ritual that Rod opts out of.

Discussing their family’s festive routines, Loose Women star Penny shared with Woman Magazine that they enjoy a fancy breakfast featuring champagne, eggs, and smoked salmon, a delight that Rod does not share. Despite his aversion to morning champagne, Rod has his own Christmas custom of visiting the pub with Penny and their sons, Alastair and Aiden.

Penny disclosed that Rod insists on going to the pub on Christmas Day, where he indulges in a pint of Guinness and a glass of rosé, a unique combination according to her. She clarified that Rod does not consume them simultaneously but separately.

While Penny eagerly embraces the Christmas season and adorning their home, Rod is less enthused, viewing the chaos of decorations as the house being “turned upside down.” However, Penny expressed hope for a special Christmas this year, anticipating a visit from Rod’s elder children and grandchildren.

The couple has introduced a new tradition for New Year’s, with Penny announcing that Alastair and Aiden celebrated their first Hogmanay in Scottish kilts alongside their father in a heartwarming family photo shared on Instagram. In the post caption, Penny highlighted her sons’ pride in their Scottish heritage inherited from Rod’s side of the family.

Rod, a father of eight children from five different women, has a diverse family with children ranging in age from 14 to 61. Despite their differing views on holiday customs, the Stewart-Lancaster family enjoys blending their individual traditions to create a memorable festive season each year.
