President Donald Trump shrugged off his appearance in recently disclosed photos linked to Jeffrey Epstein, downplaying their significance as “no big deal.” These images, released by Democratic members of the US House of Representatives, show Trump in a casual pose with five unidentified women, their faces obscured. Another photo depicts Trump on a private jet with a woman, the identity of whom is also hidden, matching the interior of Epstein’s Gulfstream G550 aircraft.
While pilot records confirm Trump’s presence on Epstein’s jets in the 1990s, Trump denied being on Epstein’s plane or visiting his island in a statement on his Truth Social platform. When questioned about the photos at an event honoring veteran Ice Hockey players, Trump brushed off the images, stating that many individuals interacted with Epstein and that it was common to have photos taken with him.
The photos, part of Epstein’s extensive collection, also feature other prominent figures like Sir Richard Branson, Woody Allen, Bill Gates, and Steve Bannon. No context or captions accompany these images. House Democrats emphasized redacting any information that could harm potential victims, while Republicans accused them of selectively using photos to create a misleading narrative about Trump.
Epstein, awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges, was found dead in his jail cell in 2019. Trump, who distanced himself from Epstein prior to the legal issues, stated their friendship had ended long before the charges surfaced.
