Holly Ramsay and Adam Peaty expressed gratitude towards each of their 200 wedding guests by gifting them with personalized engraved tequila bottles valued at £190 each, along with other tokens of appreciation, as per reports.
The generous couple reportedly allocated £40,000 solely for gifts for their friends and family who congregated at Bath Abbey on Saturday, December 27. It is believed that the duo felt a sense of obligation towards their wedding attendees for their unwavering support during a tumultuous period that resulted in most of the Olympian’s family members, including his mother Caroline, being excluded.
In addition to the tequila bottles, guests received commemorative t-shirts, while each of the three bridesmaids, one of whom was Adam’s sister Bethany, were bestowed with extravagant, personalized presents, such as pots of the renowned Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream valued at approximately £79 each.
A source mentioned, “Holly and Adam were exceedingly generous to their guests, presenting them with individually embossed tequila bottles. Attendees were also gifted with charming t-shirts depicting the couple joyfully embarking on their journey together.”
“The bride and groom went above and beyond. Despite any underlying issues, they aimed for a flawless wedding. And they succeeded.”
Proud father of the bride, Gordon Ramsay, disclosed to guests that he spent £50,000 on flowers for their special day. In his impassioned speech, the renowned chef proclaimed that his wife would now play the role of a mother to both newlyweds. According to The Sun, he stated, “Tana will be a wonderful mother to them both.”
Reports suggest that hymns such as “Come Down O Love Divine” resonated during the ceremony. It is speculated that one of the readings included Psalm 127, emphasizing the blessings of children, possibly hinting at the couple’s desire to start a family of their own.
Amidst light-hearted banter, Gordon teased his daughter about their choice to adorn the stunning windows of Bath Abbey with white roses during the wedding ceremony, jesting that “only Holly could pick the most beautiful church and choose to cover its stunning windows in white roses.”
Holly, who sported a bridal cape over her wedding gown as she entered and exited the ceremony at Bath Abbey, is set to showcase her dress in Vogue magazine, which is set for publication today. A source added, “Holly has always aspired to be in Vogue, so this is a significant achievement for her.”
During the lavish reception, Adam subtly acknowledged the pain stemming from the estrangement with his own family in his speech. The Staffordshire-born Olympian turned to his former swimming coach, Mel Marshall, 43, who has played a surrogate parental role throughout his illustrious career.
