Environment Canada has canceled a yellow warning for severe weather following a storm that swept through parts of southern Alberta. The agency had cautioned about potential damaging wind gusts, large hail, and heavy rainfall as the storm passed from Claresholm towards locations near Lethbridge and Medicine Hat.
The initial warning, issued earlier on Tuesday, had raised concerns about a severe thunderstorm capable of generating baseball-sized hail and causing damage to structures and trees. Despite this, the storm has now subsided.
A yellow watch for a severe thunderstorm is still active over a significant area stretching from Claresholm east to Hays and extending south to the U.S. border as of Tuesday night. For the latest updates, individuals are advised to visit the Environment Canada website.
