Aldi has introduced a new triple-sauce dispenser for those who struggle to choose between ketchup, mayo, and mustard for their BBQ meals. The innovative device, named The Mighty Trio, caters to food enthusiasts looking to enjoy a blend of all three flavors simultaneously. Research shows that 70% of adventurous Brits like to mix different sauces, with the popular combination being ketchup and mayo for 43% of respondents. Additionally, 59% of people create their own unique sauce blends at home.
With the launch of The Mighty Trio, which dispenses all three sauces at once, nearly three-quarters (72%) of Brits are excited to try this convenient gadget. The UK population has strong opinions on sauce preferences, with 32% admitting they would consider ending a date over condiment disagreements. However, 54% believe that differing sauce preferences can still coexist in a relationship.
Sauce choices seem to reveal more than just flavor preferences, as 40% of respondents think that one’s sauce preferences reflect aspects of their personality. Moreover, an overwhelming 84% of people would not tolerate a BBQ without any sauce, indicating its importance in the summer dining experience.
While some enjoy mixing sauces, a quarter of Brits prefer to keep them separate. Interestingly, 15% believe that putting ketchup on pasta should be forbidden. Various “sauce crimes” have been observed, including drizzling sauce on unconventional foods like ice cream, roast dinners, fruit, and even cereal.
Furthermore, 45% of individuals admit to silently judging others on how they apply sauce, whether through dipping or pouring techniques. The survey also found that 72% of Brits feel anxious when someone else sauces their food, leading many to pack their own bottles when dining out or traveling.
