Anthony Joshua is fully committed to his upcoming bout against Jake Paul, as he has already made the trip to Miami to acclimate to the time zone in preparation for the fight.

The former two-time unified heavyweight champion has been out of action since his devastating knockout loss to Daniel Dubois in September 2024 at Wembley Stadium in front of a massive crowd. Joshua’s 2025 campaign was largely derailed by injuries, but following successful elbow surgery, the British boxer is now back in training, getting ready for his comeback.

The announcement of Joshua facing off against Paul came as a surprise to many, with the showdown set to take place on December 19 in Miami, Florida. The highly anticipated match will consist of eight three-minute rounds, with both fighters donning 10oz gloves.

Although Joshua is heavily favored to triumph over the YouTuber-turned-boxer, he is leaving nothing to chance in his preparations. His promoter, Eddie Hearn, has confirmed that Joshua is already in Miami, looking sharp and focused for the lucrative encounter.

The heavyweight clash between Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul is scheduled for December 19 in Miami and will be available for live streaming on Netflix. Fans can access the fight for free by subscribing to Sky’s £15 Essential TV bundle, which is currently the lowest-priced option for Sky TV.

Hearn mentioned that Joshua has been instructed to weigh in under 245lb for the bout against Paul. Despite initial concerns about a weight cut, it appears Joshua is on track to meet the required limit without significant struggles.

During negotiations, Hearn admitted to providing misleading information about Joshua’s weight to gain advantages in the deal. He revealed details of the discussions with Paul’s team, highlighting the specifications for Joshua’s weight and the tactics involved in the negotiation process.

The clash between Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul in Miami on December 19, just days before Christmas, is expected to commence around 11pm local time, translating to 4am in the UK. Fight timings are subject to adjustments based on the undercard duration and are tailored to suit the American audience. The event will be broadcast live on Netflix.
