Share

A 388-mile ‘snow wall’ is set to move across various regions of Britain next week, as indicated by weather maps. The snowfall is expected to begin on Tuesday, January 27, with forecasts showing extensive snow coverage on WX Charts. It is projected to hit the South West of England and parts of Wales at 6 am before progressing eastward.

Most English counties are likely to experience snowfall on that day, except for Cornwall and Hampshire in the south. The West Midlands is anticipated to be covered in snow by midday on Tuesday, with flurries persisting until 6 am on Wednesday, totaling 18 hours.

This snowfall follows alerts issued by the Met Office regarding colder weather approaching towards the end of January. The Met Office’s extended outlook from January 25 to February 3 suggests that weather systems from the Atlantic may bring rain or showers, with chances of heavier precipitation in the south and west, while colder conditions may lead to snow showers, primarily in Scotland and northern England.
