Darts prodigy Luke Littler has expressed confidence in the prospects of Angry Ginge, a participant on the reality TV show “I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Here.” Littler, an 18-year-old acquaintance of the internet personality Morgan Burtwistle, hinted at a potential future expedition to Australia.
The avid Manchester United supporter and online streamer, Burtwistle, arrived at Brisbane airport this week in preparation for the show’s premiere on November 16. Ant and Dec are set to host the show on ITV, with Burtwistle currently favored by bookmakers to win the crown.
Meanwhile, Littler secured a spot in the knockout phase of the Grand Slam of Darts in Wolverhampton by defeating Daryl Gurney 5-1, further advancing his title defense. While awaiting his next opponent in the Grand Slam, Littler eagerly anticipates the commencement of the reality series in Australia.
In an interview with SportsBoom, Littler shared his belief that his friend, Angry Ginge, aged 23, will excel in the challenging jungle environment. Littler remarked, “I think he’s going to do very well. I’ve known him for a long time. We’ll have to vote for him and see what delicacies he has to consume.”
Although Littler could be a strong contender for future seasons of the show, procuring his participation might require a substantial investment from TV executives. When questioned about potentially joining the jungle adventure, Littler responded, “Perhaps… If the offer is right. I might consider a brief visit.”
Angry Ginge touched down in Australia on Monday, where he received a warm welcome from fans and media ahead of the show’s debut. Despite expressing his fondness for Manchester United and his mother, the 23-year-old humorously mentioned his camping skills from his past Duke of Edinburgh bronze award.
In a YouTube announcement video before his departure for the reality show, Angry Ginge expressed his hopes for Manchester United’s success in his absence, aiming for them to be second in the league upon his return in early December. He stated, “Hello there. If you are watching this, it means I’m officially set to enter the jungle. That’s what I’m hoping for. I pray that when I come back, Man Utd will be in second place, contending for the title… while Arsenal falters.”
