London authorities have pressed charges against a local massage therapist for sexual assault and suspect there might be additional victims yet to speak out. The police were alerted on July 30 after a victim reported being sexually assaulted during a treatment session the previous day. Following an inquiry, 47-year-old Christian Javier Gutierrez was apprehended on the same day. Subsequently, two more individuals came forward with reports, leading to three more sexual assault charges against Gutierrez. He surrendered to the police on Monday, made a court appearance in London on Wednesday, and was granted release until a future court appearance in August regarding the accusations.
The accused runs a massage therapy practice in the city center, as confirmed by the authorities who have informed the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario. Investigators suspect there could be more undisclosed victims and encourage anyone with relevant information or who may have encountered the suspect in similar circumstances to contact the London police or provide anonymous tips through Crime Stoppers.
