A 20-year-old man has been taken into custody following an incident at Newton Community Hospital in Newton-le-Willows, Merseyside, where five individuals sustained injuries in an alleged assault involving a possible crowbar. The event occurred shortly after noon, as per witnesses present at the scene. The man reportedly visited the hospital seeking an appointment, but his request was declined. Subsequently, he became agitated, causing damage to a counter and assaulting multiple people inside the hospital with a weapon. Fortunately, the injuries sustained by the victims are being treated by paramedics and are deemed non-life-threatening.
