Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service (MFRS) responded to the incident at Summerford Close near Birkenhead around 5 pm on Tuesday, December 30, due to reports of power outages in the vicinity.
Scottish Power technicians are present on-site, awaiting a specialized excavation team, as confirmed by the fire service. A 30-meter safety perimeter has been established and is under the management of Merseyside Police to oversee the evacuation of residents from certain properties.
