A tennis enthusiast who gained online fame for supporting Emma Raducanu has been ejected from the Australian Open for disruptive behavior. James Bray, known for cheering Raducanu during her match, was asked to leave the event for being too loud.

During Raducanu’s match, Bray, wearing an ‘Australia’ tank top, affectionately referred to her as ‘Raddo’. Raducanu acknowledged his support in her post-match interview, offering him an open invitation to attend all her future matches.

Despite the initial recognition, Bray’s cheering turned rowdy during another match, leading to his removal from the Rod Laver Arena. He documented the incident on his Instagram story, showing police officers instructing him to leave for 24 hours and issuing a fine.

Bray sarcastically commented on his expulsion, expressing his disappointment at being evicted for being a passionate fan. Despite the situation, he found the experience somewhat amusing.

Following his removal, Bray expressed confusion over the security’s actions, stating he was cheering respectfully like any other fan. Tennis Australia confirmed that Bray had received warnings before his expulsion due to disruptive behavior.

Victoria Police reported that 21 individuals, including Bray, were evicted from the tournament grounds for various behavioral issues. They emphasized the overall positive crowd behavior at the Australian Open and anticipated a continued enjoyable experience for fans and spectators.
