TikTok Snowball Hack Takes UK by Storm

As the UK braces for continued sub-zero temperatures, a man has found a unique way to craft the “perfect snowball” after stumbling upon a clever technique on TikTok. Lucas Eddy, inspired by the “hack,” decided to give it a try following heavy snowfall at his residence.

The Met Office has warned of Storm Goretti bringing up to eight additional inches of snow across various parts of the UK in the upcoming days. Health alerts have been issued by the UK Health Security Agency for all of England until Friday morning, highlighting potential impacts on health and social care services, especially for individuals aged 65 and above or with underlying health conditions.

Lucas shared a TikTok video demonstrating a woman swirling a bowl in the snow to create a perfect spherical snowball. Intrigued, he ventured outside to test the method. After using his own cereal bowl in the snow, Lucas marveled in disbelief at the outcome, exclaiming, “There’s no way this works!”

Removing the bowl revealed a large, perfectly round snowball. Lucas excitedly declared it as the “perfect snowball” before playfully throwing it at a passerby’s head.

His video quickly gained traction on TikTok, garnering an impressive 25 million views. One user humorously commented, “I’m so winning my family’s snowman competition with this information. Thank you.”

Another user quipped, “This is why I pay for internet, wholesome from beginning to end,” while a third added, “The children are going to see this and now our bowls will be outside!”

Today, avalanche alerts were issued in six Scottish regions following a recent major incident in Aberdeenshire. The Met Office has issued weather warnings covering most of the country, cautioning about freezing Arctic air causing snow and ice in northern Scotland and “icy patches” in other parts of the UK.

Deputy Chief Forecaster Chris Bulmer highlighted the ‘multi-hazard’ threat posed by Storm Goretti. The storm is expected to interact with the cold air over the British Isles, resulting in more snow, heavy rain, and strong gales as it moves across the English Channel into Friday.

Mr. Bulmer stated, “We have therefore issued a yellow warning for snow in parts of England and Wales, where heavy snowfall may lead to disruptions and difficult travel conditions.
