Meanwhile, the mother of missing student Jack O’Sullivan has initiated a new plea to locate him after he disappeared 18 months ago following a night out with friends.
Jack, who was 23 at the time, was last seen at 3:15 am on Saturday, March 2, 2024, after attending a party in Bristol.
Despite numerous searches and a prominent campaign, his family remains without any leads and are no closer to uncovering the circumstances surrounding his disappearance. A renewed appeal has been issued by his mother, Catherine O’Sullivan, 53, from Flax Bourton, near Bristol.
Sharing a photo of Jack, she described him as a wonderful son, brother, and friend known for his kindness and care for others.
Describing the agony of the past 18 months without Jack, she highlighted the lack of progress in the investigation and urged anyone with information to come forward.
Jack is described as being 5 feet 10 inches tall, with a slim build, short brown hair, and was last seen wearing a Barbour jacket over a beige wool jumper, navy chinos, and brown leather trainers.
He had been socializing with friends at a pub before attending a house party in Hotwells, Bristol. Jack informed his mother of plans to take a taxi home around 2 am and was last captured on CCTV footage walking around the area for approximately 30 minutes.
At 3:24 am, he made a call to a friend, and although the call briefly connected, it was abruptly cut off. Despite this, his phone remained active in the vicinity until 6:44 am, according to authorities.
