The competition featured entries from renowned Irish stables, including Gordon Elliott and Henry de Bromhead, as well as Rocky’s Diamond, who finished fourth in the 2025 Stayers’ Hurdle.
Connor King, handling Oscars Brother, outperformed competitors, guided by his brother Daniel, who skillfully navigated the seven-year-old around the County Kildare track. Racing near the front throughout, Oscars Brother, the 7-4 favorite, showcased impeccable jumping skills, finishing three lengths ahead of Koktail Divin from De Bromhead’s yard.
Prior to the three-mile race on challenging ground at Galway, Oscars Brother had a preparatory run. The trainer-jockey duo now aims to elevate their one-horse stable to Grade One status, expressing optimism about the horse’s potential.
Daniel shared his excitement about winning for his brother, praising Oscars Brother’s demeanor and the race’s competitive nature. Looking ahead, he deferred race decisions to the trainer, highlighting the horse’s positive progression and attitude.
