Kelvin Fletcher and his spouse Liz have encountered a trying period after a “devastating” fire incident, but the couple has recently provided a significant update.

In October last year, the family of six was away from their farm when they received distressing news from a neighbor about a fire at their farmhouse. Consequently, their residence became uninhabitable, compelling them to find temporary lodging. Nonetheless, over a year later, the family has returned to their beloved farm.

In the season three finale of Fletchers’ Family Farm, Kelvin Fletcher disclosed, “This is a momentous occasion for us. We are receiving our new lodge, marking the final step in our journey back to living on the farm after a year of renting due to the fire.”

Upon the arrival of the initial part of their new temporary mobile home, Liz candidly shared the challenges they faced in dealing with the fire aftermath.

She expressed, “The process of dealing with the fire is more time-consuming than one can anticipate. It’s a demanding task to navigate through the surveys and necessary procedures. Additionally, we’ve yet to begin the process of clearing out the house and commencing the renovation.”

Kelvin chimed in, “After the trials we’ve encountered this year, the most difficult aspect was feeling disconnected as a family. Returning to the farm reunites us and brings immense joy.”

Liz humorously referred to their current living arrangements as a “posh caravan,” expressing relief and enthusiasm about this significant progression.

“The prospect of being back at the farm around the clock is truly exhilarating,” she remarked.

In a voiceover, Kelvin acknowledged the upcoming “challenge” as they venture into this new chapter of their journey.

“It’s been a lengthy road, but our aspiration of returning to the farm is finally materializing. However, before diving into the renovation work, we must adapt to lodge living, which poses a unique challenge with four children in tow,” he noted.

Liz agreed, saying, “It’s not your typical caravan, especially with six of us.”

She further added with enthusiasm, “This move will help soften the blow of the fire, and when we undertake the renovation, we’ll be right here on-site, back where we belong—back on the farm.”
