Shamed Andrew is delaying his departure from Royal Lodge, according to sources familiar with the situation. The disgraced former prince is set to leave his Windsor mansion and relocate to the King’s private estate in Norfolk after losing his titles due to his connection with Jeffrey Epstein.

Initially planned for the New Year following the Christmas festivities at Sandringham, the move is facing delays as his new residence, likely to be Marsh Farm on the King’s estate, requires renovations. Additionally, there are complications in terminating his lease for Royal Lodge.

Despite suggestions for temporary accommodation, Andrew is reportedly adamant about staying at Royal Lodge. Sources indicate that he intends to prolong his stay as much as possible, expressing his reluctance to leave. Speculations suggest he might remain there for at least another six months.

Efforts to expedite Andrew’s departure from Royal Lodge are limited even if the King desires a swift transition. The Public Accounts Committee disclosed that Andrew provided a 12-month notice to surrender Royal Lodge on the day he was stripped of his titles, allowing him to potentially stay until October next year.

Andrew spent Christmas at Royal Lodge while his daughters celebrated with the rest of the royal family at Sandringham. In a significant move, the King revoked Andrew’s titles and removed him from the Peerage following revelations from Virginia Giuffre’s memoir and documents from Epstein’s estate. Andrew denies any wrongdoing in the matter.
