Apple has unveiled its latest iPhone 17e model, offering significant improvements at an affordable price point. Priced at £599, the device features a speedy A19 processor, MagSafe charging, durable construction, and an impressive single-lens camera. This price tag is £200 lower than the flagship iPhone model.
In addition to Apple’s new release, Samsung has confirmed the launch of its latest smartphones, the A57 and A37, starting at £399. While these Samsung devices may not match the performance or innovative charging capabilities of the iPhone 17e, they boast a 6.7-inch screen with 120Hz technology, providing a smoother user experience for tasks like browsing websites, handling emails, and gaming.
The Galaxy A57 and A37 come equipped with notable features such as large 5,000mAh batteries, triple lens cameras, and P68 water and dust resistance ratings. Samsung has integrated smart features into these devices, including Google’s Circle to Search for quick web searches and enhanced photo editing tools like Object Eraser, Best Face, and Edit Suggestions for effortless photo adjustments and sharing.
Furthermore, Samsung has introduced improved Voice Transcription functionality in the Voice Recorder app, enabling users to transcribe or translate call recordings and convert voicemail audio into text efficiently. The company has committed to providing long-term support for the Galaxy A57 5G and A37 5G models, promising up to six generations of Android OS and One UI updates, along with six years of security patches.
Both the Samsung Galaxy A57 5G and A37 5G will be available for purchase on Samsung.com starting April 10th. The Galaxy A57 5G will start at £529 for the 256GB variant, while the Galaxy A37 5G will be priced at £399 for the 128GB version. The Galaxy A57 5G will be offered in Awesome Navy, Awesome Grey, Awesome Icyblue, and Awesome Lilac colors, while the Galaxy A37 5G will come in Awesome Lavender, Awesome Charcoal, Awesome Greygreen, and Awesome White.
Annika Bizon, VP of Product and Marketing at Samsung Mobile Experience (MX) Division, emphasized the importance of making AI technology accessible to more users while showcasing the practical benefits of AI in everyday performance through the Galaxy A57 5G and A37 5G models.
