Bobby George, a well-known figure in the world of darts, gained fame for his extravagant jewelry choices, earning him the nickname ‘King of Bling’. He reached the finals of the BDO World Championship in 1980 and 1994, winning the prestigious News of the World crown in 1979 and 1986.

In more recent years, George has become recognized for his remarkable 18-bedroom mansion designed in the shape of a dart flight, located in Ardleigh near Colchester. The mansion, named George Hall, features a pub-style entertainment area with a bar and a snooker table. The expansive grounds include three fishing lakes for enthusiasts.

George admitted to going all out when building his mansion, starting with essentials like a bathroom, bedroom, and kitchen before completing various rooms over time. The property also houses a collection of darts memorabilia, including one of his toes preserved in a vodka bottle after undergoing amputation in 1999.

In his autobiography, ‘Still Here! The King of Bling’, George shared anecdotes about his unique home and personal experiences. He once attempted to sell the mansion in 2013 for £3.5 million, citing challenges in managing the extensive property due to his age.

Living in the mansion with his wife, Marie, George described her as a vital part of his life, serving as his personal assistant. The couple met at a darts tournament, and despite initial reluctance, they have been happily married for over three decades. Marie plays a crucial role in managing George’s affairs and maintaining their household.

Marie’s Instagram profile reflects her affection for George and their enduring relationship, highlighting their shared journey over the years.
