Trump’s Aide Natalie Harp’s Unique Role in White House

When U.S. President Donald Trump utilized a catering truck to discreetly transfer from Air Force One during a possible security concern in Turkey at the beginning of last month, several individuals stayed on the aircraft. Notable figures among them were U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, and the 13-person press pool. Accompanying Trump in the move were deputy chief of staff Dan Scavino, director of Oval Office operations Walt Nauta, and executive assistant Natalie Harp, who has recently become a central figure in media scrutiny.

Natalie Harp, aged 35, serves as the special assistant and executive assistant to the president, frequently seen by his side in the Oval Office and during his travels. She has been a part of Trump’s inner circle since 2022, as noted in a profile by Fox News following his second term victory. According to Sen. John Barrasso, Harp acts as an invaluable aide to the president, always present to convey messages and information efficiently.

Harp has established a mobile office that moves alongside Trump, equipped with a mobile printer to promptly provide necessary articles. Her connection with Trump dates back to 2019 when, as a bone cancer survivor, she praised the president for his efforts in granting patients access to experimental treatments. Multiple Republicans have emphasized her unwavering loyalty to Trump, with Harp herself speaking highly of his character and dedication.

Recently, Democratic Sen. Jon Ossoff made remarks about Trump’s disinterest in his role, implying a preference for personal pursuits like renovating the White House and traveling with Natalie aboard a plane reportedly gifted by the emir of Qatar. In response, Trump dismissed Ossoff’s comments, referring to him in a derogatory manner. The White House communications director, Steven Cheung, used strong language to criticize Ossoff, labeling him as the “biggest loser” in politics. This exchange has sparked reactions from both sides of the political spectrum, with some viewing Ossoff’s comments as a strategic move to garner attention and stir controversy.
