Netflix is set to release a three-part docuseries titled “The One About Matthew Perry,” aiming to provide a comprehensive look into the life of Matthew Perry beyond his famous role as Chandler Bing in the iconic TV show “Friends.” Perry, a Canadian actor, gained fame for his comedic talents and portrayal of Chandler on the hit NBC series.

The documentary will delve into Perry’s journey from a rising comedic star to his time on “Friends,” shedding light on previously undisclosed aspects of his life. It will feature never-before-heard testimonies from close associates, including his sister Mia Perry Bowick, a grief specialist who has openly discussed her grieving process following Perry’s tragic death.

The narrative will explore Perry’s complexities as an individual, beyond his on-screen persona, and address his struggles with addiction. Perry passed away at the age of 54 due to a ketamine overdose in his backyard hot tub. Several individuals have faced legal consequences for their involvement in supplying him with the drug, with Dr. Salvador Plasencia, one of the suppliers, appealing his 30-month prison sentence.

Netflix has promised to present a balanced portrayal of Perry, encompassing his personal challenges and emphasizing his legacy of honesty and advocacy. The docuseries is scheduled to premiere on October 27, offering audiences a deeper understanding of the late actor’s life and experiences.
