Share

Samsung is set to unveil its latest portable projector, the Freestyle+, at this week’s CES tech show in Las Vegas. This compact device is an upgraded version of the earlier Freestyle projector released in 2022. The Freestyle+ boasts enhanced AI features, brighter visuals, and a wider range of entertainment options.

One of the notable improvements in the Freestyle+ is its simplified setup process for users. By powering on the device, users can effortlessly enjoy their entertainment without the need for manual adjustments. This convenience is made possible by Samsung’s AI OptiScreen technology, which automatically optimizes the projection to suit different environments, eliminating the need for manual configuration.

The AI OptiScreen feature also introduces several intelligent functions to enhance image quality under varying conditions. These include 3D Auto Keystone, which corrects image distortion on uneven surfaces, and Real-time Focus, which maintains picture sharpness even with projector movement. Additionally, Screen Fit adjusts the image size to match compatible projector screens, while Wall Calibration analyzes and refines the image based on the projection surface for improved clarity.

These innovative features aim to streamline the projector setup process and enhance user experience. Like its predecessor, the Freestyle+, designed for portability, comes with a built-in speaker, Wi-Fi connectivity, and access to popular streaming services like Netflix, Disney+, and Prime Video.

Hun Lee, Executive Vice President of Samsung Electronics’ Visual Display Business, emphasized the Freestyle+’s adaptability to users’ lifestyles, combining portability with intelligent AI technology for a consistent viewing experience. Although pricing details are yet to be confirmed, the Freestyle+ is expected to hit stores in early 2026.
