Share

A tragic incident occurred as a two-year-old girl, identified as Isobel, passed away after accidentally falling into a pond on Christmas Day. Isobel was discovered in the garden pond shortly after wandering away from family festivities at a residence in Doncaster. Despite efforts to administer CPR before the arrival of emergency services, she was unfortunately declared deceased at the hospital shortly thereafter.

In a touching tribute posted on a GoFundMe page, Isobel’s aunt, Abigail, described her as a joyful and inquisitive child who brought happiness to everyone around her. The family realized Isobel was missing when she briefly disappeared while playing indoors and later found her in the garden pond after she ventured outside on her own. The pond was a temporary addition to the garden following the family’s recent move and was enclosed by a fence.

Recounting the heartbreaking turn of events, Abigail explained how Isobel and her sister were playing with new toys inside the house, briefly losing sight of her before she made her way to the garden and fell into the pond. Isobel’s mother, Tamara, expressed her profound love for her daughter on social media, emphasizing her vibrant spirit and thanking the local community for their support.

To assist with funeral expenses and provide aid to Tamara, who is expecting another child, the family has initiated a fundraiser. Abigail stressed the importance of offering emotional and financial support to help the family cope with their loss and prepare for the arrival of Isobel’s sibling. Additionally, plans are underway to create a memorial fairy garden in honor of Isobel, serving as a special place to commemorate her joyful essence and keep her memory alive.
