Samsung has recently unveiled a trio of new Galaxy S26 smartphones, with the standout feature being the Privacy Display on the S26 Ultra. This innovative feature ensures privacy by making content disappear when not directly viewed. Users can customize settings to block out specific apps or notifications, preventing prying eyes from accessing sensitive information.
Describing the new Privacy Display as a groundbreaking technology in the mobile industry, Samsung explained that it controls pixel dispersion to maintain content clarity for the user while limiting visibility to others. The S26 Ultra also boasts a thinner design, extended battery life, and is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform for Galaxy, offering rapid charging capabilities.
Enhancements to the Ultra include an updated quad rear camera for improved night photography and upgraded Super Steady video capture with a horizontal lock option. Additionally, the device comes equipped with an S Pen for note-taking on its 6.9-inch AMOLED screen.
Accompanying the Ultra are the standard S26 with a 6.3-inch screen and a larger 6.7-inch Plus version, both featuring triple-lens cameras powered by Samsung’s Exynos chip. All new Samsung smartphones benefit from a Galaxy AI upgrade, introducing features like Now Nudge, which provides relevant suggestions to enhance user experience.
Despite these impressive updates, Samsung’s new smartphones come at a higher cost this year. The UK pricing for the Galaxy S26 range is as follows:
– S26: 256GB £879, 512GB £1,049
– S26 Plus: 256GB £1,099, 512GB £1,269
– S26 Ultra: 256GB £1,279, 512GB £1,449, 1TB (with 16GB RAM) £1,699
The new Samsung Galaxy S26 models are set to hit stores next month, offering advanced features and enhanced user interaction.
