Samsung has unveiled its latest Galaxy range at the Unpacked event in New York, showcasing new bendable phones that are impressively thin, fast, and durable. The Galaxy Z Fold 7, a foldable tablet with an 8-inch screen, has been slimmed down and lightened to become Samsung’s thinnest and lightest foldable device yet at 8.9mm. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip for enhanced performance in various tasks, including app launching and gaming.
The device is built to be robust with features like Armour FlexHinge, Gorilla Glass, and an Advanced Armour Aluminium frame for durability. Additionally, it boasts a larger 6.5-inch cover screen and an improved triple-lens camera with a 200MP main lens and smart enhancements like auto image editing and noise reduction in videos.
The Galaxy Z Fold 7 will be available this month at a price of £1,799. Alongside the Z Fold 7, Samsung is also introducing the Z Flip 7, a flippable device with an expanded front display for easy messaging and gaming on the 6.9-inch panel. Equipped with a bigger battery, enhanced design, and Samsung’s Exynos chip, the Z Flip 7 will retail for £1,049.
For those looking for a more affordable option, Samsung is launching the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE at £849. Annika Bizon, Mobile Experience VP of Product and Marketing at Samsung UK & Ireland, highlighted the innovation in smartphone technology, emphasizing the combination of powerful hardware and Galaxy AI in the Galaxy Z Fold 7 for enhanced user experience.
