Sky customers in the UK are in for a treat as HBO Max, the latest streaming service, has made its debut. Subscribers with the Sky Ultimate TV package can now enjoy HBO Max for free, which includes popular shows like Game of Thrones, Friends, and Succession, saving them over £50 annually.
According to Sky, customers with Sky Ultimate TV on Sky Glass or Sky Stream, and Sky Q subscribers with the appropriate package, will have access to HBO Max Basic with Ads as part of their subscription. This service offers a wide range of HBO dramas, including classics like The Wire and new Max Originals such as The Pitt, along with a variety of Warner Bros. films.
To start streaming HBO Max, eligible customers can simply launch the HBO Max app from the homepage and follow the on-screen instructions to activate it. This allows for on-demand viewing of all available content.
For those not on the Sky Ultimate TV plan, switching to it is an option starting at £22 per month, increasing to £24 from April 1st. This package includes over 130 Sky channels, Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, and the upcoming Hayu service.
Sky’s Chief Consumer Officer, Sophia Ahmad, expressed excitement about the integration of Sky, Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, and Hayu into a single subscription, offering a unique entertainment experience. NOW Entertainment customers will also receive HBO Max within the NOW app without any additional charges.
If you are not a Sky subscriber, you can still enjoy HBO Max by signing up directly on its website, with Standard with Ads plans starting at £5.99.
