Donald Trump has issued a concerning warning about an upcoming “day of retribution” in Minnesota. Despite public disapproval of ICE’s tactics in the state, the US President has reinforced the deployment of more agents to target Somali Americans, the majority of whom are US citizens.

On his Truth Social platform, Trump expressed doubts about the safety of living in a community with convicted criminals, including murderers, drug dealers, rapists, and escaped prisoners. He defended ICE’s actions despite facing growing protests.

Contrary to Trump’s claims, ICE has been focusing on the Somali American community in Minnesota, where about 95% are US citizens. Most individuals of Somali heritage in the state have legal status through naturalization or birth, with only a small percentage being undocumented migrants.

Despite Trump reportedly sending around 3,000 ICE agents to Minnesota, the ratio of agents to potential deportees is significantly high. Trump boasted about reducing crime rates in other areas and accused Minnesota Democrats of overlooking serious issues while supporting unrest.

In a final statement, Trump ominously declared, “FEAR NOT, GREAT PEOPLE OF MINNESOTA, THE DAY OF RECKONING & RETRIBUTION IS COMING!”
