A mother of three endured a horrifying gang rape for several hours inside a moving van before being thrown onto the road, as reported by authorities in India.
The assault took place overnight between Monday and Tuesday after the married mother was waiting for transportation near Delhi in Faridabad.
Two young men in a van enticed the woman to get in by offering to drop her home. Once inside, she was allegedly subjected to multiple rapes as the van headed towards Gurgaon Road.
The victim was held captive in the van for approximately two and a half hours, where she was assaulted and threatened when she resisted. She was eventually ejected from the moving vehicle, sustaining severe facial injuries, and left bleeding near Raja Chowk in SGM Nagar.
After managing to contact her sister for help, the victim’s family rushed to the scene and transported her to the hospital, where she was admitted in critical condition.
Medical staff at the hospital stitched up the woman’s facial wounds. Although her condition is now stable, she has not been able to provide a formal statement due to being in a state of shock.
According to the victim’s sister, the woman had called the evening prior to the incident, mentioning a disagreement with her mother and indicating she would stay at a friend’s house.
She assured her sister she would return home within three hours. The woman, a mother of three, is married but living separately from her husband following a domestic conflict.
Police have confirmed the arrest of both suspects involved in the crime and the recovery of the van used during the attack. An investigation is currently underway.
