RCMP in Rankin Inlet, Nunavut, have arrested a man on three firearm-related charges following reports of gunshots in the area over the weekend. The incident took place on August 9 at approximately 8:30 a.m. when law enforcement officers were alerted to gunfire and observed a man carrying a firearm inside a residence on 68th Street. The RCMP swiftly took the suspect into custody the same morning. The charges against the individual include reckless discharge of a firearm, improper storage of a loaded gun, and careless handling of a firearm. The man is scheduled to appear in court on August 17.
