Canadian actor and comedian Jim Carrey has recently married Min Ah, his partner whom he introduced to the public in February. The wedding took place in a small private ceremony in Los Angeles, as reported by TMZ. Carrey, 64, described Min Ah as his “sublime companion” during his acceptance speech at the César Film Awards in Paris, France, where he expressed his love for her in French, calling her an angel.
Despite Carrey’s efforts to keep his personal life private, very little is known about his new wife, who is reportedly 32 years old, half his age. Photos published by Just Jared in 2022 showed the couple leaving a benefit show together, indicating that they have been in a relationship for several years.
This marks Carrey’s third marriage. His first marriage was to Melissa Womer from 1987 to 1993, with whom he shares a daughter named Jane Erin Carrey. His second marriage to Lauren Holly ended in divorce less than a year later in 1996. Carrey also had a high-profile relationship with Renee Zellweger after working together on the film “Me, Myself, and Irene” in 1999. Additionally, he was in a long-term relationship with Jenny McCarthy from 2005 to 2010, although they were never married.
Carrey’s spokesperson confirmed to CBC News that the actor is now married, but did not provide further details. The couple was accompanied by Carrey’s daughter, Jane, and grandson, Jackson, at the César Film Awards in Paris.
In his book “Memoirs and Misinformation,” published 20 years after their breakup, Carrey referred to Zellweger as his “last great love.”
