A tragic incident occurred as a pedestrian lost their life in a serious collision. Kent Police has shared CCTV images of two individuals as part of their investigation into the incident that took place on A289 Gads Hill, Gillingham on Monday, December 29, at approximately 12:10 pm.
Emergency services, including police and South East Coast Ambulance paramedics, responded to the scene where the man was treated but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.
Authorities from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit have made public the images of the two men in hopes that they can provide valuable assistance in the ongoing investigation.
Detective Inspector Zoe Wilczek stated that although the image quality is not perfect, they are still early in the investigative process and appreciate the cooperation of those who have shared images and testimonies. As the investigation continues, road closures are in effect with Pier Road closed between The Strand and Gads Hill. The westbound carriageway remains open but is experiencing traffic congestion.
