A young man’s life took a drastic turn after a tragic incident that left him severely injured at the age of 18. Loren Schauers was driving on a bridge when he lost control of the vehicle, leading to a 50ft fall. Despite being trapped under a heavy truck, he managed to stay conscious throughout the ordeal.

In September 2019, Loren suffered severe injuries, resulting in the loss of three limbs. He underwent a complex surgery to survive and continue living his life to the fullest. Hailing from Montana, he shared the challenges he faces after undergoing a rare hemicorporectomy surgery, a procedure undergone by fewer than 100 individuals worldwide.

Following the accident that crushed his lower body six years ago, Loren had to adapt to a new way of life. With the unwavering support of his wife, Sabia Reiche, who stood by him during the traumatic event and his recovery journey, Loren persevered. Despite missing his ability to drive, a passion he cherished, he remains determined to move forward.

Prior to the incident, Loren and Sabia had plans to travel in a campervan across Montana as he pursued a career in construction. However, the accident altered his trajectory, leading him to explore new avenues to make a living. They have turned to social media, particularly YouTube, to share their experiences and generate income.

While their social media presence has provided some financial stability, Loren acknowledges the need to explore alternative career paths. He is considering venturing into gaming and reviewing businesses specializing in disability equipment. By creating content on various platforms, including Twitch and YouTube, he aims to secure a fulfilling job that aligns with his interests and capabilities. Moreover, his immediate goal is to acquire suitable prosthetics and technology to enhance his daily independence and overall quality of life.
