“Sky Mobile to Raise Monthly Bills by £1.50”

Share

Millions of Sky Mobile subscribers are set to experience an increase in their monthly bills starting next month following a newly announced price hike. The majority of customers will witness a £1.50 per month increment, equaling an annual surge of £18, though some individuals may face varying adjustments.

The revised pricing will take effect on February 14, 2026, marking the first alteration for in-contract Sky Mobile users in more than seven years. Those dissatisfied with the raised fees and still within the minimum contract period can opt to terminate their package without incurring early termination charges.

While standard plan prices are on the rise, the cost of the Sky Mobile social tariff, catering to low-income users, will remain unchanged. The adjustment is attributed to escalated wholesale network expenses, with affected customers receiving notifications starting immediately.

According to a Sky Mobile spokesperson, the £1.50 monthly increase is essential to maintain service quality, value, and customer expectations. The decision was made after a prolonged period of no mid-contract price adjustments to mitigate industry-wide cost pressures and support ongoing network enhancements.

In a parallel move, O2 recently disclosed a £2.50 per month raise for most mobile and SIM-only contract subscribers starting April 2026, surpassing the initially planned £1.80 uptick. Similarly, Three is set to implement a £1.80 monthly increase for customers with data plans of 4GB or less, with higher data plan holders facing higher increments.

Vodafone mobile customers securing deals after November 12 will face a monthly bill escalation of £2.50, while Vodafone broadband users will encounter a £3.50 spike. Existing Vodafone and Three contract holders will experience price adjustments based on their pre-agreed terms.

For those on Three broadband, bills will surge by £3.50 monthly from April 2026. Vodafone customers opting for more than 100GB data plans will see a £2.30 monthly increase, whereas those with plans between 4GB and 100GB will face a £1.90 rise starting April 2026.
