Homicide investigators in British Columbia have announced the arrest and charging of two men in connection with a gang-related murder that took place inside a taxi in Langley last year.
The suspects, identified as Jared Douglas Polischuk, 35, and Luis Manuel Baez, 29, were apprehended on Friday and jointly charged with conspiracy to commit murder. The charges are related to the fatal shooting of 24-year-old Taran Pandher, who was attacked while being transported as a passenger in a taxi in September 2025.
Tragically, Pandher succumbed to his injuries at the scene near 200 Street and 53 Avenue. Following the incident, authorities responded to a vehicle fire in Surrey on the same night, believed to be linked to the shooting.
Law enforcement officials have indicated that the investigation is ongoing, as they suspect the involvement of additional individuals in the targeted shooting, which is connected to the ongoing gang conflict in British Columbia.
Due to the case being sub judice, no further details are available as the matter is currently before the courts.
