Selena Gomez, a famous singer and actor, is facing a lawsuit from investors who claim she engaged in fraudulent activities by not fulfilling her obligations to develop and promote her mental health startup. The investors, who put in nearly $1.2 million in Wondermind Global, a venture launched in 2021 to enhance mental fitness, allege in a federal court filing in Delaware that Gomez, a prominent social media figure with over 500 million followers, was supposed to actively participate in the company’s growth as the head of marketing. However, they assert that Gomez and other company executives failed to keep their promises, such as creating a mobile app.
The lawsuit states that Gomez purportedly agreed to certain contractual obligations but did not follow through with them. The investors claim that the company did not have a viable business plan and failed to fulfill even the most basic responsibilities, like paying employees and vendors on time. A representative for Gomez has not yet responded to requests for comments on the matter.
The plaintiffs argue that they were unaware of the company’s issues until they were detailed in an online news report in September 2025. They are now seeking to recover their investments along with legal expenses through the lawsuit.
