Sky TV customers are in for a treat as they are receiving a complimentary upgrade that now includes access to the Disney+ subscription service. This added benefit is part of the newly updated Sky Ultimate plan, giving subscribers the opportunity to enjoy a wide range of content from Pixar, Star Wars, Disney, and Marvel at no extra cost.
The enhanced package doesn’t end there. Alongside Disney+, Sky is set to introduce HBO Max Basic soon and Hayu later this year. The integration of Disney+ content across Sky Glass, Sky Stream, and Sky Q platforms ensures a seamless viewing experience with features like Continue Watching, search functionality, and voice control.
Moreover, Sky Cinema subscribers will now have access to a dedicated Disney+ Cinema channel. For those not yet subscribed to Sky, the new Sky Ultimate package is available to all UK households starting at £24 per month.
The £24 plan includes Netflix Standard with Ads, Disney+ Standard with Ads, HBO Max Basic with Ads (launching on 26 March in the UK & Ireland), Hayu (full access from July), and over 130 Sky channels.
Sophia Ahmad, Sky’s Chief Consumer Officer, views this update as a significant advancement, bringing together Sky, Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, and Hayu under one subscription. She emphasized the aim of providing viewers with a fully integrated experience to seamlessly transition between their favorite shows.
Existing customers will benefit from the expanded lineup at no additional cost, while NOW Entertainment users will receive HBO Max within the app without extra charges. Sky’s goal with these changes is to streamline streaming services and offer a more cohesive viewing experience.
